- An advanced course is for experienced drivers who have been driving daily for at least 3 months, feel that they are a competent driver and be able to pass the practical forklift driving assessment.
If you have any doubts about your ability to drive a forklift in an advanced course, then you should enroll in the beginners course.
- A beginners course is for candidates that have had little or no experience driving a forklift. You will receive enough training so that you are confident and competent enough to be assessed.
- Yes, except for an Order Picker Forklift (this is an LO license). You can be trained and assessed on a 2.5 tonne forklift and later drive a 30 tonne forklift, however under duty of care, you must seek further instruction from your employer on how to use the 30 tonne forklift or any other forklift that you are unfamiliar with.
